Sketches and "The Past Presents the Future"

Sketch 1

On the right is just something that I did for an entertainment: a concept of Belle from Beauty and the Best. It didn't come out the way I wanted...

Sketch 2

On the right: Belle portrait?

"The Past Presents the Future"

This wasn't in the sketchbook: I did this as a mini-illustration project.  Since I got use to the ink, it was a little easier to use on this work.

End of Summer Term -The Aftermath-

My final ended few weeks ago, but I have been doing lots of work since then.

This the eighth prop that I've been working on just few days ago. It's not done yet since I need to do more outlining on the others.
Something that I had been practicing lately in my sketchbook.

Well, that's about it. I have lots of work to do, but I'll be posting more later.

Secret

And it is done.

Not quite, I should say. After painting this for more than 10 hours, Corel Painter had been slowing down. It was also slow when I tried to push Command+z, which took more than 1 minute to undo each part of the work. Later, Corel Painter literally crashed 4 times, causing my work to be unsaved, which I had to redo everything over again.

I shouldn't that this work was easy for me: it's far more difficult due to art block and the colors, especially the lighting and so forth.

Nonetheless, this work was meant to have an urban-feel. It was inspired by the Japanese graffiti over at the Udagawa District in Japan. A similar work of graffiti can also be found in the game, The World Ends with You.
